"Goodwill is the Monarch of this House"
Greetings,
Welcome to the Alpha Kappa Chapter website.
The brothers of the Alpha Kappa Chapter are devoted to serving the Western Massachusetts community. The current seat of the chapter is located at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst but we serve campuses throughout the area. The Mighty Alpha Kappa Chapter is one of the larger collegiate chapters in the District of Organization New England Chapters of Alpha (ONECA). We are proud to announce that this year our chapter will be turning 100 years old!

University of Massachusetts - Amherst
The University of Massachusetts-Amherst is home for the largest and most historical collections of Brother W.E.B. DuBois. Pioneering sociologist, historian, novelist, playwright, and cultural critic, W.E.B. DuBois committed his life to a relentless opposition to racial and social injustice. Without ever seeking a mass following, he was a peerless organizer who helped to found both the Niagara Movement and the NAACP, and who fostered several Pan African Congresses. For years, he was editor of The Crisis and other progressive journals, and was an international spokesperson for peace and the rights of oppressed minorities. A son of Massachusetts, DuBois articulated the strivings of African Americans and demonstrated the significance of black culture before a world audience.
